Cruise up to Big Pocono State Park atop Big Pocono Mountain (home of Camelback Mountain Resort) near Tannersville for a Picnic in the Park.
The Friends of Big Pocono State Park invite you join them at Lot 3 on Rim Road for a fun mountaintop picnic! Bring your charcoal and grill-ables to cook on the Park grills, and picnic in the shade of the oaks with friends from around the area.

Enjoy the spectacular view and maybe some mountain music.
They'll also offer a tour of the newly completed Scout Trail from Lot 4 to South Trail.
The picnic starts at noon and "finishes when we're done." Rain date is Sunday the 15th.
Bring your picnic basket, food, beverages (alcohol is prohibited in the Park), lawn chairs, games, binoculars, plant ID books, bicycles, rollerblades, sunscreen, etc.
A Pocono Mountain treasure, Big Pocono has been adopted by the Friends of Big Pocono State Park, a non-profit group under the umbrella of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation.
