JESSUP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Plans to reassess properties in Lackawanna County are on the back burner.
County leaders said they just don't have enough money.
Commissioners said it will cost an additional $8-million to finish the project that was started years ago.
Corey O'Brien, Lackawanna County Commissioner, said, "While we would like to get it done as soon as possible, it right now stands short about $8-million and thats $8-million we don't have."
The county has already spent $3-million in the reassessment process since it began.
The last county-wide reassessment was done in 1973. | | |
