HARRISBURG- Same sex marriage takes center stage in Harrisburg. State Senator Daylin Leach from Delaware County introduced Senate Bill 935.

It which would offer full and equal marriage rights to same-sex couples in Pennsylvania. Under the bill, Pennsylvania would also recognize same-sex marriages conducted in other states.

Leach says arguments that same sex marriage hurts straight couples is unfounded. "If straight marriages are being destroyed when same sex marriages is legalized you think we would notice it. But everywhere same sex marriage is happened straight couples are thriving at the same rate they did before," says Leach.

Senate Bill 935 would not require religious institutions to recognize any marriages they don't wish to sanction.
